History in AAAC 2024

On September 28, 2024, 2024 2nd Asian Aerospace and Astronautics Conference (AAAC) opened in Nanjing, Jiangsu! The conference was co-hosted by Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), and the IEEE. It was organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering at NJUST and the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at NTU Singapore, with significant support from the Kuiyuan Laboratory (NJUST), the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Special Propulsion Technology (NJUST), the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, York University (Canada), Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and the journals *Propulsion and Energy* and *Journal of Propulsion Technology*. The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online participation.

2024年9月28日, 第二届亚洲航空航天会议（The 2nd Asian Aerospace and Astronautics Conference）在江苏南京开幕！此次会议由南京理工大学、新加坡南洋理工大学、IEEE共同主办，南京理工大学机械工程学院、新加坡南洋理工大学电气与电子工程学院承办，并得到南京理工大学魁元实验室、南京理工大学特种动力技术教育部重点实验室、香港理工大学航空及民航工程学系、加拿大约克大学、莫斯科鲍曼国立技术大学、《Propulsion and Energy》、《推进技术》的大力支持。会议采用线上线下相结合的方式进行。

The conference opened with addresses from Professor Liao Wenhe, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), and Professor Xu Jinsheng, Head of the Department at the School of Mechanical Engineering, NUST. The opening ceremony was moderated by Chen Danhe, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation at NUST.

大会开幕，南京理工大学党委副书记廖文和教授、南京理工大学机械工程学院系主任许进升教授先后致辞，开幕式由南京理工大学国际交流合作处陈丹鹤副处长主持。

Professor Erick Lansard (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), Professor Liao Wenhe (Nanjing University of Science and Technology), Professor Zhu Zhenghong (York University, Canada), Professor Lim Wee Seng (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), Professor Shan Jinjun (York University, Canada), Professor Chen Wenhua (Loughborough University, UK), Professor Liu Peijin (Northwestern Polytechnical University), and Professor Olga Starinova (Samara National Research University, Russia) each delivered compelling keynote presentations. Additionally, Associate Professor Ivan Tkachenko (Samara National Research University, Russia), Dr. Shen Gaoqing (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), and Associate Professor Mei Mei (Nanjing University of Science and Technology) delivered invited presentations.

新加坡南洋理工大学Erick Lansard教授、南京理工大学廖文和教授、加拿大约克大学朱正宏教授、新加坡南洋理工大学Lim Wee Seng教授、加拿大约克大学陕晋军教授、英国拉夫堡大学陈文华教授、西北工业大学刘佩进教授、俄罗斯萨马拉国立航空航天大学 Olga Starinova教授，分别做精彩主题报告。俄罗斯萨马拉国立航空航天大学 Ivan Tkachenko副教授、南京航空航天大学沈高青博士、南京理工大学梅玫副教授做特邀报告。

The conference attracted nearly 100 participants from countries and regions including China, Russia, Singapore, and the United States. Spanning three days, the event featured keynote and invited presentations, seven parallel sessions, and a poster exhibition centered on the theme "Design, System Modeling, and Reliability Analysis of Power Equipment in Aerospace Engineering." Attendees explored the latest research findings and technological innovations across various fields, with a focus on topics such as "Aerospace and Electronic Systems," "Navigation and Space Communications," "Aerospace Science and Technology," and "Combustion and Propulsion."

大会吸引了来自中国、俄罗斯、新加坡、美国等国家和地区近一百人参会，本次会议为期三天，除主旨报告、特邀报告外，会议还设有七个平行分会场和以“航空航天工程中的动力设备设计、系统建模和可靠性分析”为主题的海报展，与会代表将围绕“ 航空航天和电子系统”“导航和空间通信”“航空航天科学与技术”“燃烧与推进”等专题方向，共同探讨航空航天相关领域的最新研究成果和技术创新。

The conference papers have been published in the AAAC 2024 IEEE conference proceedings, included in IEEE Xplore (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/conhome/11027325/proceeding), indexed by EI Compendex, Scopus, and other databases.
